Guest Lecture Scheme
This Programme is designed purposely to expose the students and stimulate their thinking about the different professions in the areas of business. This also helps them prepare well when making choices on the different areas of specialization. The programme features high profile practioners from different professions in the business world and is free of charge for all students.
Career Orientation Programme
This Programme is designed for students in the first year of study. It creates opportunities for them to learn about University life and become engaged in the culture of MUBS. The students are also given detail information about the different programmes and their career prospects.
Outreach Programme (Career Guidance Visits to secondary schools)
As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility the School through the Career & Skills Development Centre offers Career Counselling Services to all Secondary schools throughout the country. We use the same platform to sensitize the students about our programmes and their admission requirements.
MUBS Women Forum
This is the first platform to represent the various issues affecting women at MUBS. The forum provides an opportunity for young women to network and exchange ideas on issues affecting them.

Regional Career Masters’ Workshop
This is an avenue for sensitizing career masters and mistresses from secondary schools in all parts of the country on the different programmes offered by the MUBS as well enhancing the career counselling skills. The workshop are hosted at the different regional campuses and are free for all teachers.
Students with Disabilities Empowerment Programme (SWDEP)
The SWDEP creates awareness about government and non-government initiatives designed for the SWDs to foster better understanding of one academic and personal strength and needs, form a very strong network with themselves and other existing organizations. Email: swdep@mubs.ac.ug
Skills Development Programme (SKIDEP)
As a way of differentiating our students, MUBS established the skills Development Programme (SKIDEP) in the year 2009 primarily to provide an opportunity for all students in their last year of study enhance their employability skills through equipping them with Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Career Planning, Financial literacy and Key office IT skills. Placement/Direct Recruitment Programme
MUBS through the Career & Skills Development Centre endeavors to secure jobs, internship and apprenticeship opportunities especially for its best performing students. This is done through partnering with numerous recruitment firms; Delliote Uganda, KPMG, Unilever, Ernest and Young, PWC, Standard Chartered Bank, URA and so many other prospective employers.
